Dear Rhett,

It’s still difficult to accept that you’re gone. It’s been about a week since you passed and the last week has been surreal. Word spread quickly about your death and many of us arrived at your father’s house the next day, and we did our best to comfort one another. Within the next few days most of us were in SoCal walking on the streets that you were walking just days before, there to support the family, take care of your belongings, and weep over your body. 

Rhett this family cares deeply about you and was hurt so deeply by your loss, but we are confident that we will see you again. Time and unforeseen events can take our lives in this crazy world, but soon we will be in Paradise where we will have no more sickness or death. When I see you again in the resurrection I hope to be able to give you a big hug and convey the love that we wish we could have expressed more fully before.
