From Ayia
I never really knew my Uncle Rhett, but I do remember that he was generous. Once when I was eleven, we were at his house and he said hi and handed me and my sister each an envelope with a hundred-dollar bill in it. I remember that I was excited. That’s a lot of money for an eleven-year-old. After a trip to Korea he brought back gifts for everyone. And I appreciate that he took the time to be at my baptism. That’s honestly all that I remember about him, he was M.I.A. for most of my life. But from how saddened the people that care about him are after his death, you can tell that he is deeply loved. In the Bible it promises that he will come back to life. I look forward to that. There’s comforting videos on jw.org about the condition of the dead and hope for our dead loved ones. Please watch them.
Ayia (age 13)
Ayia, I was so happy he made it to your baptism as well. He made it for mine in 2006. I love you
ReplyDeleteOh Ayia, your reserved demeanor can sometimes be misunderstood as aloof but I know deep inside you have a heart ❤ of gold. I think that you writing is beautiful bc you express them well. Your uncle Rhett would be happy what you wrote about him.. Nana jen-jen loves you.
