Dear Rhett,

I know we never spent that much time together seeing as you were a bit older than me and the fact that we lived many miles away. However, every time I did see you, whether that be for family reunion or wedding, you would always greet me with your warm smile and a big hug. I remember meeting up with Marian and Matt early this year as the family came down to LA to help settle you  in. You weren’t present, but as we talked about the reason for their visit I think I got to know more about you that night than I ever did. We are all very, very proud of you.  I wish we had more time to hang out with the rest of the family and make more memories. Rest in peace dear cousin. You will be truly missed.
