From Lindsey

Hello,

I went to treatment with Rhett in February 2020. It was my first time in treatment at age 34, after relapsing for the first time after 7.5 years of sobriety.
I’m shy and a bit reserved. It takes me a while to open up to people. One of the things that I will always remember about Rhett is his genuine joy and excitement to be around and engage with others. He always said hello to me. He always said goodbye. He always said to have a nice day. He stopped me to introduce his family in passing, whom he was very proud of and spoke very highly. He received a motivational book from his aunt while he was there, please let her know if you’re able how it made him glow - he wanted everyone to see it, he was very proud. He deserved to be. Rhett was a genuine and fine young man, excitable in a way that makes you smile even if you’re not in the mood.
I didn’t know Rhett for long but I was blessed to have met him. He was a memorable and genuine human, and I hope you’re proud of that.
God bless.

  1. Hi Lindsey.. thank you so much for sharing your experience with my nephew Rhett. It made me so happy to hear he took pride in sharing the positive motivational book I made him to others. I learned from his cousin Iyra that you wrote about it that she forwarded this to me.
