From Luis Perez
Dear Rhett,
I don’t know where to begin... it still hasn’t hit me yet bud. I just
remember meeting you and you asking me to sponsor you. It was really
such a privilege man. When the pandemic started you stayed positive and
always tried to look at the bright side of things and I thank you for
that. When I couldn’t do that myself in our conversations you were able
to. Thanks for being open minded and willing bro. I could tell you had
that fire underneath you to grow and move forward in the right
direction. I’m extremely proud of you and to witness that growth really
helped me a lot.
What are the chances that we work in the same industry. It’s funny man
cause I considered you to be a mentor of mine and I look up to you. I
want to be exactly where you’re at in my career. Thank you for always
picking up the phone and helping me out when I had a programming
question. I’m not gonna lie when I heard you passed of course my
selfishness/self-centeredness kicked in and I just thought “now who am I
gonna go to for machining help." I’m sorry man. I just had an interview
this past Friday for a new place and I threw up a prayer to you to
guide me. It went well.
Anyways I’m just glad to know that you were happy and getting out of
your comfort zone. I miss you brother. You’re a ray of hope for me and
countless others. I thank God he placed you in my life.
I love you very much Rhett.
Sincerely,
Luis Perez
