  1. Dear Rhett,
Your Mom and Dad, Marian and Matthew along with your other family members and friends, showed just how remarkable a person you are during the memorial of your life. My memory of you is when you were young, still living at home with your family. I was always impressed on how much you loved your family. Also, how you enjoyed playing pranks. Brother Frank Vasquez gave your Memorial Talk. Its was very touching on why people die and the firm hope of the resurrection. You are so blessed to have such a loving family and friends who care deeply for you.

Sometimes we go through difficult times in our life. This is because of personal decisions we make and/or circumstances beyond our control as Ecclesiastes 9:11 tells us. The Bible describes death as a "sting" at 1 Corinthians 15:55. Its a powerful sting, very painful. But a sting is not permanent. The pain is there for only a short time. That's because our loving God Jehovah has promised to bring back to life our loved ones to a paradise earth in the very near future as Acts 24:15 and numerous other scriptures tell us. When you come back, your family and many others will be there waiting for you with open arms and the terrible sting of death will finally be defeated in your case.
Dear Rhett, sleep for now. Soon you will be back when Jehovah calls you. It is a small thing for our Creator to remember what a remarkable young man you are. I say, "you are" not were, for in Jehovah's eyes, you are still alive as Luke 20:37, 38 tells us. This reminds us that soon you will be back, because in Jehovah's eyes, you are still alive along with many millions of others who have fallen asleep in death. How can we say that for certain? Because of the firm resurrection hope our loving God Jehovah has promised.

We love you Rhett - we love your family. Most of all, Jehovah loves you and your family. When you read this post, you will be looking back on that terrible accident as a "blip" in time, for never again will such things happen in the new system to you or anyone else. That is Gods promise as described at Revelation 21:3,4. Rest for now. We will see you soon. Love, Retha Swanson
